BIBUS France is committed to a responsible circular economy: donating IT equipment and reducing its carbon footprint with Bak2
We recently donated some of our IT equipment to Bak2 Services so that it could be given a second life through reconditioning and recycling. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to extending the useful life of digital equipment while supporting more responsible and sustainable local solutions.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach, this initiative fully reflects our commitment to actively contributing to the circular economy, reducing electronic waste, and developing a positive environmental impact.
A collaboration with Bak2, a committed player in digital reconditioning
To carry out this initiative, we partnered with BaK2 Services, a French specialist in the reconditioning and recovery of digital equipment for more than 20 years.
Founded in 2002, the company supports businesses in managing the lifecycle of electronic products through several services:
- equipment collection
- refurbishment
- repair
- recycling
- recovery and reuse of IT and telecom equipment
Thanks to a fully integrated business model based in France, Bak2 ensures complete equipment traceability, secure data processing, and the responsible reintroduction of refurbished equipment into circulation.
This approach helps reduce electronic waste while promoting a more sustainable and circular economy.

A concrete action for the environment
The processing of this batch of IT equipment generated a measurable positive environmental impact.
- 80 kg of equipment collected
- 30 devices refurbished and reused
- 1,475 kg of CO₂ emissions avoided
- Equivalent to 12,291 km driven by a gasoline-powered car
- 25 hours of work generated in France
- €59 redistributed through the recovery of the equipment
These results demonstrate that more responsible management of digital equipment can have a tangible impact on both the environment and the local economy.
