CHT5 Series Capacitive Door Control Switches

The CHT5 Series Capacitive Door Control Switches have been specifically developed for bus, rail vehicle and building technology applications requiring operation through glass. Thanks to capacitive sensing technology, the switches can be mounted directly onto glass surfaces and activated through the pane without the need for drilled mounting holes.

The large Ø 63 mm touch surface ensures intuitive operation and is illuminated by 16 high-brightness LEDs for excellent visibility. The innovative design allows two-sided operation from both sides of a glass panel, making the series particularly suitable for door opening systems in public transportation.

For improved accessibility, selected versions can be equipped with Braille markings and raised pictograms according to TSI-PRM requirements, helping users with visual impairments operate the system safely and independently.

The sensor is completely sealed in cast resin, providing IP69K protection as well as resistance to water, oil, impacts and demanding environmental conditions. With a service life exceeding 100 million operating cycles, the CHT5 series offers long-term reliability for transportation and infrastructure applications.
