Electromagnetic Brakes

Electromagnetic brakes use an electrically generated magnetic field to create or release braking torque. Their fast response, precise control and excellent repeatability make them ideal for servo drives, robotics, automated production equipment and applications requiring accurate positioning.

Warner Electric

Warner Electric electromagnetic brakes combine compact dimensions with a broad performance range, making them suitable for numerous industrial applications.

Available Series

  • WR: 0.5–6 Nm
  • ERX: 5–800 Nm, up to 7,000 rpm
  • EB: approximately 22–630 Nm
  • MTB: up to 1,520 Nm

Stromag

Stromag electromagnetic braking systems are designed for higher-power industrial drives where high braking torque and operational reliability are essential.

Available Series

  • NFF: 20–10,000 Nm
  • 2 HPB / 4 HPB: 80–5,000 Nm, up to 6,500 rpm
  • 4 BZFM: 63–11,000 Nm, up to 6,000 rpm

Hydraulic Brakes

Hydraulic brakes provide high braking torque, smooth operation and long service life in demanding industrial applications. They are commonly used in cranes, lifting equipment, steel processing machinery and other heavy-duty drive systems requiring reliable braking performance.

Warner Electric

The H420 Series is a spring-applied, multi-disc hydraulic brake specifically designed for heavy-duty industrial applications.

Stromag

Stromag offers hydraulic braking systems for a wide range of industrial applications.

Available Series

  • KMB ZM: 100–3,000 Nm
  • 3 TB and 1 TXA: Hydraulic disc brakes
  • TDXB: Electro-hydraulic safety brake for cranes and lifting equipment

For special applications, Stromag hydraulic brake systems are available for braking torques exceeding 20,000 Nm.

Pneumatic Brakes

Pneumatic brakes operate using compressed air, providing fast response, simple control and low maintenance requirements. They are particularly suitable for applications where pneumatic systems are already available and frequent braking cycles are required.

Warner Electric

The P520 and P620 disc brake series provide rapid response and easy integration into industrial machinery.

Stromag

The KLB spring-applied, pneumatically released multi-disc brake offers a static braking torque range of 12.5–10,000 Nm, making it suitable for applications ranging from light industrial equipment to heavy-duty machinery.
