Locking Assemblies are precision-engineered, friction-locked shaft-hub connections designed to securely mount gears, sprockets, pulleys, brake discs, couplings, levers, flanges and other rotating machine components. By eliminating keys and keyways, they provide a backlash-free connection while maintaining excellent concentricity, high positioning accuracy and maximum shaft strength.
Installed directly between the shaft and the hub, the locking assembly consists of tapered inner and outer rings. When the clamping screws are tightened, radial contact pressure is generated across the entire mating surface, creating a powerful frictional connection. This enables the reliable transmission of high torque, axial and radial forces, as well as bending moments, making Locking Assemblies suitable for demanding industrial drive systems.
Compared with conventional shaft-hub connections such as shrink fits, keyed joints, interference fits or polygonal connections, Locking Assemblies simplify installation and removal while providing superior fatigue strength under alternating loads. Available in a wide range of standardized sizes and configurations, as well as customized designs, BIBUS Kft. supports customers in selecting the optimal solution based on torque, shaft dimensions, hub geometry and application requirements.

Our engineers support you with:

Extended, three-piece design, self-centering. Suitable for bending moments and radial loads.

A self-centering locking assembly with an especially compact design and no axial displacement stands out due to its unique construction.

Short, two-piece design, self-centering. Compact miniature locking assembly with low surface pressure.

Five-piece precision locking assembly, self-centering. No axial displacement of hub or shaft.

Five-piece precision locking assembly, self-centering. No axial displacement of hub or shaft.

Long, four-piece design, self-centering. The clamping cones prevent any axial displacement.

Short, three-piece design with flange, self-centering. The flange prevents any axial displacement.
