Blowers-compressors with a side channel

Side channel blower-compressors have an impeller inside the housing. As the air enters, the impeller blades draw it in and accelerate it. As each successive blade hits it, the beam travels faster and faster. When exiting, the distributor directs the air outside the housing, reducing its speed and increasing the pressure. Blowers can be used as compressors or vacuum pumps.
